Joe Davis, herein, produces for posterity, an account of our relative W. The Mennyms are completely aware that they aren't human, but engage in meals and so on (what they call "pretends") that fill their day. If only people would follow the advice in this book, what a different place the word would be. I loved the way this book started, with naive young-for-her-age Alice Tanner volunteering at an archaeological dig in south-western France. This is a very good read. The book surprised me pleasantly. Not only did I learn what makes John tick, I learned about myself.
